One of my favorite subjects to teach in the early years is the alphabet . Seeing little ones remember the songs, games and rhymes reminds me of where we all start on our literacy journey . In order for little ones to be successful in this , it is critical for their foundation in the alphabet to be as strong as it can be .

It is for this reason that I have created ‘ALPHABET WRITE + COLOR‘. Every page in this booklet has space to practise identifying and writing a specific letter in the alphabet from A to Z .

  • MY HANDWRITING CHECKLIST – One thing that I like to reinforce within my own teaching of the alphabet is what is expected during the writing process . I have included this checklist to ensure that learners are able to look at their work and tick off what they have achieved and what areas they need to develop further .
  • HANDWRITING LINES – Each letter has three lines for learners to practice their alphabetical writing skills . This includes lower case, upper case and both together .
  • COLOR MATCH – I have included this activity to reinforce phonological awareness during the early stages of learning the alphabet .

To get a taster of this resource , I have listed an ‘ALPHABET WRITE + COLOR FREEBIE‘ including letters A, B and C .
